The "Grudge" match - Sunday 18th of March.

Leicester Tigers '96 - 45. Bath Rugby '96 - 15.

Well, the match that every Leicester Tigers and Bath fans
had been talking about for ages finally took place on Sunday
the 18th of March at 3pm. I flew over from Dubln on the 17th
in fear of my flight being delayed amd missing it, after recieving
photography accreditation from Leicesters Marc Heywood to whom
I'm extremely grateful to.

I heard from another photographer that Tom Varndell was under there....

The teams make their way out to the pitch - welcomed by a huge cheer!..

Richard Cockerill (above) and Martin Johnson (below) show their softer sides before kick-off!.

Pre-match poses with the mascots!

Johnno taking no messing from the ref.....
Then has a giggle!.

Martin Johnson towered over me as I spoke to him - great to meet him and talk to him again.

This was at half time - I was fffffreeeezzzing cold! But it cleared up and was sunny again!

Austin Healey preparing himself for action...

It was a shame to see Rory Underwood going off due to damaging his hand.

I sat snuggled inside the hut with the Leicester players out of the snow!
Really kind guys as both Bath and Leicester players offered me their
seats when weather conditions became too much for me and my camera!
Cheers guys.

A job well done as usual for rugby legend Martin Johnson.

Amazing for me to say that I was there to take these shots and to be
a part of such a great day.
Well done to both teams for a very enjoyable day at Welford Road.

Johnno bombarded with fans! I only took this pic of him off the pitch
as I'm sure he just wanted to sit down and chill.
(Oh and thanks for getting me into the bar Johnno)

Even with a broken hand legendary Rory Underwood still manages
to smile for my camera as I sat drinking a pint of Tiger bitter!.
